Miller's Grocery Store
In 1939, Anthony Miller expanded his grocery operation and moved across the street to the northwest location at Roosevelt Avenue and Monmouth Road. Notice the icehouse to the right where residents could buy ice. The corner store was soon cut at an angle and a gasoline station was put in that corner. Miller's store was a fixture from the 1930s until the 1960s. It has continued as a food store with various owners since then.
